Report: Kim Mulkey To Be Paid $2.5 Million In Year One, Deal Runs Through 2028-2029

Brody Miller with The Athletic is reporting that new LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey will be paid $2.5 million in year one of her contract that will run through 2028-2029.

Mulkey, who made $2.27 million a year at Baylor, replaces Nikki Fargas who made $711,988 this past season.

how much money is wasted on other projects at LSU? what about previous coaching hires that did not produce a quality product on the field or court? 2.5m to turn around the lady tigers could be huge and lil Kim has a pretty good track record.

There is a very good change that if they win a national championship in women's basketball that LSU will get at least half of that 2.5 million salary back to them.

I have to agree. I am sure this was a hire to appease the Title IX crowd. LSU lost 4 million in Womens Basketball last year and will now add a 2.5 ridiculous salary to the overhead. Insanity.
