Former LSU and current Carolina Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson came up just short in a race against 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, with the winner taking home a $1 million dollar prize.

Jackson got the finals in 40 Yards of Gold Tournament vs. Goodwin by beating Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes and Bears cornerback John Franklin.

He also lost a 98 yd sprint to Callaway when he whiffed in the UF game 2016. Still, good show Donte - there's worse guys to lose to than an Olympian.

People go watch track meets because they like it. This has big money on the line, and sports celebs. Plus it was on a Sunday and there is nothing going on.

Good thing it wasn't a tackling contest. Donte wouldn't have been in the running.

They got 25k for the first 2 wins, and 50k for the semi, so Donte just collected 100k
