According to multiple sources, UCLA head coach Chip Kelly is reportedly leaving the Bruins to be the new offensive coordinator at Ohio State.

Kelly has been the Bruins' head coach since 2018, compiling a 35–34 record over six seasons. He will replace Bill O'Brien who held the Buckeyes OC & QB coach job for less than a month before landing the Boston College head coaching job this week.

Kelly's departure means that UCLA will have a new head coach when they play LSU on September 21 in Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers last played the Bruins in 2021 at the Rose Bowl, with UCLA upsetting No. 16 LSU 38-27.

The guy absolutely hates recruiting.

In all honesty, he deserves a little credit because he could have turned in another lackluster showing, been fired and taken the buyout money.

Your HC leaving for a lesser job? Yikes. UCLA just needs to do away with the program. Nobody in that city cares about football anyways.

With the most talented team I've seen in a long time, why wouldn't anyone take that position. The guy is a legend in CF circles offense wise and he has never (even at Oregon) had a team like this..... and all he has to do is teach, and call plays.

Kelly pulled him a Saban in what he did to LSU by waiting to the last minute to make an announcement after all the coaching changes are basically over.

These takes are so stupid lol. Any of these places yall talk about, NONE of that is going on in the area these people are at. You think any coach with money is anywhere near a crime area?
user avatar
If Brian Kelly isnt “near”, a crime area , then what is he ? Far ? Nice

Yes and last time we were so bad we fired our coach. We won't be on that level this year.
