Elon quarterback Landen Clark just wrapped up a visit to LSU this weekend and is considering the Tigers, along with three other schools, as a possible transfer destination.

According to Clark, LSU, Kentucky, Michigan, and JMU are his top schools moving forward.

Clark, a redshirt freshman from Radford, Va., threw for 2,321 yards this past season, with 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Clark is one of a few quarterbacks to visit LSU over the last week, along with ASU's Sam Leavitt and USC's Husan Longstreet.

Why is it so hard for us to sign a QB with 2 recent Heisman winners and an offensive master mind coach in LK? You would think they would be lining up to play for him and LSU.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think they'd all want to come if they were assured of being QB1. They don't want to commit and find out they're QB2. This stuff is crazier than NFL free agency

QB2 is one injury away from becoming Q1. They should expand their mindset especially if they have 2 or more years left.

They are all leaving starting jobs. You wouldn't leave that to sit the bench

We made his final four. Well isn't that just dandy.

I don't think he has a commitable offer yet. Obviously Leavitt gets first choice and that impacts whether we offer Clark QB1 or QB2 money
user avatar
He is backup money at best. From Elon? Not a household name by any stretch.

He is not looking to be a backup.

I agree, he’s going where he’s the guy.

Backup $ is all he'll get at these schools, except possibly LSU. The other 3 have QB1 already. He's small and his completion % was pretty low. Not that there are alot of options left, there are better options available for a starting QB. Solid #2 tho.

Well take Michigan off of his list then. No way in the world he starts over Underwood with the amount of money they have committed to him.

So the only guy that believed in him and took a chance on him, just tell him to piss off, take the money and run. Pretty much sums up players today.

Yeah, I'm sure you'd stay put and forget about your dream of playing at the highest level.

He’s a player thar looks perfectly suited for a LK offense. Big arm to push the ball down the field and he’s also a great athlete and run threat for the RPO.

If Michigan is in the mix, it seems as if he’s willing to battle for the job and ok with possibly being the backup and learning for a year. If that’s the case, out of LSU and UM, you have to pick LSU and play for Kiffin and Weis in my opinion.

Tell this kid either sinn at LSU or go somewhere else. These freaking kids just try to extort as much as they can from these colleges.

8 interceptions at fcs level.....

No thanks

He plays in a stadium with an official capacity of 11,250. Maybe Tiger Stadium isn't big enough for him but at least we made his final four. WOOHOO!

One of those is NOTHING like the other three. Must be some back story to UK being on the list. Girlfriend, ex-coach, family close, ??

This is totally hilarious. LSU can’t buy a QB. Maybe Lane will run the single wing next year.

Give him $750K a year with the possibility of getting to $1 million via play/performance bonuses just like the NFL. If he does great and ends up the starter his agent can always renegotiate next year like pretty much every player is doing. Any deal is a 1 year deal in this new NIL world.

Since when do backups post “final four” schools?
user avatar
Agree with you totally

We don’t want him. Not going to overpay for him to come.
