Why do you think the little ugly one was on Gameday right away sat morning. No other sec team in Bamas shoes would have gotten in period

No other team in Bama’s shoes was #1 or #2 in the polls all year long either. Hey, look: I don’t like em any more than you do, but they are clearly the standard. I think it makes it that much sweeter when Clemson kicks their asses again! Or Georgia or Oklahoma! Actually, I hate Oklahoma as much as Ohio State! Almost! But most of all: Notre Dame! And we have the opportunity to do something about that!

Looks like they chose the right 4 to me

I hate to say it, but I think the committee absolutely picked the best 4 teams, including Bama. I have been an advocate for eight teams. But I now have to rethink. Ohio State is really the only team with a legitimate beef, and they got blown out by unbanked Iowa. I just hope Clemson kicks Saban’s arse again! Get rid of Oklahoma and you’v got a good Championship game. Imo

I just became a big UGA and Oklahoma fan. They need to make some rule changes.

Yeah, look down on the team that owns your state and SECW - Auburn. You can't even compete. Clemson 35 - bama 10

I do not like it. 8 games at least this 2017 campaign, I guess, but ND & other high academins schools dislike a eight game system.

Must suck to back into the CFP. OSU did it last year. All we can hope for is the the gumps face the same arse whooping that OSU got last year.

Four 1 loss teams, OK. Two from the SEC in a down year is ridiculous. But they fact that they do not have to play each leaves open the possibility of an all SEC NC and that sucks as badly as 2011.

Ohio St got what they deserved following last year. tOSU got in while sitting at home with 1-loss and NOT playing in the BIG Champ Game. Penn St with 2-losses as the BIG Champ was left out. The precedent was set. The pendulum has now fully swung on tOSU. Wisconsin or ANY other team was not deserving.

This is why I liked the bcs better. The 4 team playoff is too many teams. Usually there are two maybe three teams that are head and shoulders above the competition. This year is no different.

Mulligan City continues to preside in Tuscaloosa. Only Bama can get mauled in the last game of the year and get in. No other one loss SEC would ever get this kind of pass or consideration.

I agree that this is the weakest Alabama team in years. But Ohio state got has 2 losses and got blown out. And don't tell me Wisconsin is a better team than Alabama. I think it should be the the power 5 champions and 3 at large teams.

If it’s 8, then Power 5 Champs, best Group if 5 Champ, and 2 at large.

Screw bama and osu too. At least they picked an sec school. I guess Urbanpuss lost his claim about the Big10 being arguably the best conference

The corruption is pervasive. Once again, it's all about the dollar. bama is the flagship product of the SEC Network who happens to have a $3 billion, yes billion, contract with abc/espn/disney. So I ask, do you think money swayed the decision. Yet another corrupt institution.

there needs to be a format with all power 5 champions getting in, i fricking hate how opinion is still the strongest source of who makes the playoff

LSU fans are so upset about Bama getting in it's ridiculous. Alabama got in because they didn't lose at home by 15 or against a 7-5 Iowa team by 31.

Wisconsin should have gotten in before the bumpers.

Auburn played 3 of the 4 teams that made the playoff. Mauled two of them and lost to #1 in a very close game and finished year by losing to #3. Auburn plays in the SEC championship game while Bama sits at home. Auburn is punished for winning, Bama rewarded for getting smoked. If two SEC teams are in it should be GA and AU. It was decided on the field without outside opinion who the two best teams are in the SEC. The selections committee overlooked actual results and let bias decide for them. Bama is the third best team in the league.
