College Football analyst Joel Klatt announced his Top-10 quarterbacks for the upcoming season and ranked LSU's Sam Leavitt at No. 10.

Here's what the Top-10 looked like:

1. Dante Moore (Oregon)
2. Arch Manning (Texas)
3. Julian Saying (Ohio State)
4. Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss)
5. C.J. Carr (Notre Dame)
6. John Mateer (Oklahoma)
7. Jayden Maiava (USC)
8. Darian Mensah (Miami)
9. Josh Hoover (Indiana)
10 Sam Leavitt (LSU)
quote:

"I think Sam Leavitt is going to have a great year," Klatt said.

"He was banged up last year at Arizona State. Folks may not remember how good of a player he is. He’s a phenomenal player. He went 16-4 at ASU, a tremendous record there."

"He made the playoffs two years ago. He can throw it and run it. He averages 50 rush yards per game at ASU, so he’s a dual-threat guy, and I think that Lane Kiffin is going to be able to use him really well."

"I keep saying this during the course of the off-season. I think we’re gonna get to the year, and they’re going to play that Clemson team, and we’re going to realize how good of a roster LSU actually has. Now granted, it’s probably the most expensive roster in college football, but with Levitt and his experience at the helm, his ability to throw it down the field, and his ability to run the football. He could have a huge, huge year. Lane's QBs light up the stat sheet. He’s gonna have a really successful year."

Arch Manning hype will never die

Based solely on his play, Arch shouldn’t even be in this top ten.

Its really exhausting... theres no way Arch or Sayin should be over Chambliss. They literally do NOTHING better than Chambliss.

It will die when that damn 3 star rolls into tiger stadium and faces Sam head to head.

Will be interesting to compare Leavitt and Chambliss. We'll find out how much impact Kiffin has/had on both.

Listing him #10 then raving about him sounds like he's covering his butt for the pitiful ranking.

Sam should take offense to this and work his tail off.

Seems irrelevant to the topic to add in the "now they have the most expensive roster..."

That's not where Sam will be ranked at the end of the season.

No reason after last year that Trinidad should not be number one but we've seen bad coordinators nuke our offense and quarterbacks before so we'll see how he is this year.
It keeps being said that we have the most expensive roster when I thought it was made clear that Texas & Ohio State are more expensive.

The top 3 college qb’s by December probably aren’t even on Joel’s radar.

Yep. I’m sure this will finish just like this. This is as bad as a video game telling you who the top 10 is gonna be. People will latch on to anything.
