Some rumors have begun to surface that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin could be a candidate for the USC and LSU jobs openings.

On Tuesday, Tomlin was asked about those rumors and completely shut down the speculation. Per Football Scoop:
quote:

"Hey guys. I don't have time for that speculation. That's a joke to me," he started off by sharing.

"I have one of the best job in all of professional sport. Why would I have any interest in coaching college football? Never say never. But never."

Then came a line that should slam the door shut.

"There's not a booster with a big enough blank check."

Not a booster with a big enough check? Well that's a lie. Everybody has a price. Everybody.

Hey dude, go whine to your boy Ryan Clark. He started all this.

Yeah, Ryan Clark should feel like a huge jackass right now, but he will probably act like it wasn't him who started any rumor about that.

That is the reaction of a man who knows exactly why his name was brought up. What people don't realize is that the vast majority of minorities don't appreciate the woke culture that projects them to be some weak, helpless protected species of human. It's insulting, and Tomlin's reaction shows exactly that. Good for him.

Paging BIG $$ LSU Boosters - offer him $15 Million/year for 15 years.

Personally, I love Tomlin. And he’s 100% correct. Who in their right mind would leave what he’s got in Pburgh to coach college ball and put up with all the crap it entails. Plus, I applaud him for getting pissed he’s being asked simply bc he’s black and the “wokies” think LSU HAS to offer a black coach the job. Tomlin is one of the top 3 coaches in the NFL, but hiring the MSU guy is no better (at this point) than Ed hiring Jones and Peetz.

Wrong. I think it's honorable to be mentioned as a potential head coach at one of the top college jobs in the country.

Exactly! It’s insulting.

He's full of it....what if the Steelers start losing...then he gets axed....I'm sure a big booster's check would look mighty fine!!

C'mon Mike. I'll personally throw in lawn, pool and laundry service and my boy over at the dealership will fix you up with the best car Mitsubishi builds. I'm talking heated seats and cruise control. Think about it, Mike.

So they’ll take advantage of the whole culture when it’s beneficial but when it’s not, it’s suddenly an insult? This is hilarious! Sad but hilarious! I understand that not all are alike but if it’s such an insult then why the hell aren't the minorities going around advocating to shut this crap down like they would racism? It stems from the exact same branch of the exact same tree. If you want people to be treated equally then start cursing this culture of “woke”. It’s toxic to everyone and is especially toxic to the person who’s involved. You can’t support something like this one minute, then when you get your position of power be offended by it. Start speaking out against it and start taking your kids out of schools who teach this BS and guide your young adult away from any college who teaches this crap! That’s how you stop it. Don’t like it? Do something about it or stop your bitching and do something about it. That’s the problem though, they won’t do a thing to stop it. Just complain when it hits home. Btw I like Tomlin and believe he was correct here. But do something!

He wasn’t offended because they were asking a black man about a demotion. He was pissed because his name being mentioned for college jobs would mean he hasn’t been succeeding in the NFL. Race isn’t at play.

That's not why he was mad. He's mad because his name only came up because he's black. That's why the other two Super Bowl winning coaches mentioned are white.

I love how Tom and gets pissed off at the question knowing damn well his camp is the most likely corporate that floated that out into the ether. Don’t know what it is Tomlin needs exactly, my guess would be a shite ton of money to go all out for Aaron Rodgers as Pittsburgh next QB (bc writing is on the wall for Rothlisberger - that old man is officially washed up), because I’m sure Tomlin would prefer AR12 over starting over with a rookie QB
