Some rumors have begun to surface that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin could be a candidate for the USC and LSU jobs openings.

On Tuesday, Tomlin was asked about those rumors and completely shut down the speculation. Per Football Scoop:
quote:

"Hey guys. I don't have time for that speculation. That's a joke to me," he started off by sharing.

"I have one of the best job in all of professional sport. Why would I have any interest in coaching college football? Never say never. But never."

Then came a line that should slam the door shut.

"There's not a booster with a big enough blank check."

There's not a booster with a big enough blank check." In other words, I’m for sale to the highest bidder.

That sounds like an opening line for negotiations.

What do you mean you don't have time? You are there for a given time in your schedule to do an interview. It's not like the question was derogatory.

Sounds like he might be headed to LSU. To be that dramatic seems a bit of an over sell. We've seen this before from another coach named Saba

You can’t say we didn’t hire a black guy.

No reason to get so offended. He acts like it’s personal, which more than likely means he thinks people want a black man to be demoted instead of a white man like the two coaches he mentioned. There’s so much anger from the left that there’s not enough black coaches in the NFL, but it’s kind of hard to do that when they only make up 13% of the population.

Tomlin being offended that people are saying the Steelers are in tank mode and he wants to leave equates something about the left? Lol paranoia runs deep I see

After years of placating Antonio Brown and his unique style of crazy, he wants no part of recruiting 17 year olds.

Saban didnt last in the NFL because he couldn't be a czar like he was in college. The Jimmy Johnson types who can do both are rare

A blank check is not big or small- it has no definition until a number is written, lol.
