LSU offensive analyst Jorge Munoz "is expected" to join former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda at Baylor as a wide receiver coach, according to Fox Sports/Athletic reporter Bruce Feldman.

Munoz has been on LSU's staff for the past two seasons and has played a big role in the development of quarterback Joe Burrow.

Prior to arriving at LSU, Munoz spent 10 years at Louisiana-Lafayette where he coached wide receivers and quarterbacks and served as the offensive coordinator in 2016.

Ross Dellenger with Sports Illustrated reported last week that Munoz could be a candidate to replace Joe Brady as LSU's new passing game coordinator.

I didn't know he could help him do anything. I mean i just looked it up in the rulebook and it says they aren't allowed to do anything with the players. So can someone answer my question instead of just downvote How did he develop burrow if he didn't speak to him in a coaching matter

Analysts can review game film, practice film, etc. and relay possible weaknesses or flaws to on-field coaches. Something as simple as patting the ball before delivery can be detected by an analyst, relayed to on-field coaches and corrected.

You program is on the decline. It is like Rome in 500AD. Getting sacked and pillaged by the hoardes. Soon, once your little emperor is gone, back to Mike Dubose, Franchione and Mike Shula times for you.

Baylor has gotten real fricking serious about athletics. The Longhorns should take notes.

I'm really glad we're not promoting this guy to PGC. He was awful as OC at UL and isn't a bright offensive mind. He can stay on doing what he was doing, but if it's a choice between promoting him to run the passing game or letting him go to another school...goodbye.

Something for all the Ranters to wring their hands over in the off season. If it wasn’t this it would be something else. Humans naturally gravitate to negativity, and none more so perhaps that’s the people on this board. Everything’s going to be fine people. This happens to successful programs. We will fill the voids. LSU is the place to be these days. Relax.

not surprising really. there were a group within the staff that were bigger aranda fans then O fans and if it came down to it would stand behind aranda before standing behind O

How did he develop burrow as an analyst, there not allowed to coach players This is a very interesting post. All Munoz did was help Joe Burrow read defenses. He had nothing to do with his development. I think Aranda has made some pretty bad hires in key positions.

I think there is a reason why Jorge Munoz was with Joe at the Heisman Ceremony and Joe specifically named him.

"All Munoz did was help Joe Burrow read defenses." Seemed to have worked quite well.

But when Brady left, you guys were all over the board saying it was ok cause it was really Munoz who was responsible for making burrow good. So now they are both gone, was it really Ensminger all along?

Analyst salary < Coordinator salary and what may be a quality coordinator for Baylor may not be for LSU (SEC)
