Ross Dellenger with Sports Illustrated says that a "somewhat obvious" replacement for Joe Brady, who is headed to the Carolina Panthers, could be current LSU offensive analyst Jorge Munoz.

Munoz has been on LSU's staff for the past two seasons and has played a big role in the development of quarterback Joe Burrow.

Prior to arriving at LSU, Munoz spent 10 years at Louisiana-Lafayette where he coached wide receivers and quarterbacks and served as the offensive coordinator in 2016.

Munoz was also linked to the open offensive coordinator position at Oregon before the National Championship

Well, he's the obvious choice, I'm surprised he was an analyst at LSU all this time with his resume. He's actually got more experience than Brady.

another rumor is that he'll follow Brady to Carolina to be the new QB coach

While we need to do whatever necessary to maintain the excellence of this past season. LSU is in a position to attract the best young young minds in football. Coach O should put the best PGC or OC in order to ensure the continued success of this great offense. Coach Ensminger is a great asset. He will be the first to say let's do what is necessary. If Munoz is so good why is he not still at UL or why didn't we pick him last year? He was on LSU staff and was overlooked. Choose to be excellent.

Good coaches don't typically stay at one school for long periods. LSU is a huge step UP from ULL so I don't understand what your point is about why is he not at ULL anymore.

It's much better to hire from the inside when feasible. JB9 had faith in Munoz so he must have been a big part of this year's success.

Would that open up a position for Frank Wilson?

Not going to lie. I was looking forward to another year of JB. One must strike while the iron is hot, and his case “red hot.” Thank you Joe!!!

Not too worried about the scheme as long as we do the Summer of 10000 Catches. Never have I seen so many catches and so little balls dropped.

Yes I hope we keep the 10000 going!

As long as he can convince Caleb Williams or Garrett Nussmeier to sign with the Tigers in December, I’m good.

Congratulations to Joe Brady. Also, big thank you for giving LSU the opportunity to utilize your talents. Side Note: I think the MOA he signed earlier in the week was his way of making sure both he and LSU got something from his next employer. If that is the case, he is a really solid dude for looking our for us on the back end.

No different than the players. Next man up. Each position needs an understudy, for just this occasion.

yes/no only if they are fully qualified...I think he may be in the case. Companies that only promote from within become stagnant

He sounds perfect for the job to me, but it's not up to me. It's up to Ed O and I trust his ability to judge talent immensely. I also know Joe had a lot of trust in Munoz and even wanted him to be their for the Heisman ceremony.

Whatever coach O believes is the best move is what I want to happen. I have full confidence in his ability to find talent, whether it be players or coaches, I believe he has proven that he is an excellent identifier of talent. Geaux tigers!!

That guy is constantly in Coach O's ear on the sideline. And the first person Burrow talks to on most occasions when coming off the field. Huge part of this offense for sure.

Joe Burrow has very high praise for Coach Munoz, wanted him to be in New York for his Heisman ceremony. Coach O has earned our trust. We will be good.
