LSU sophomore linebacker Sci Martin from New Orleans (McDonogh 35 HS) is no longer apart of the football program and will be transferring to East Mississippi Community College.

Martin is the fourth player to leave the team this offseason, joining fullback Bry'Kiethon Mouton, tight end Caleb Roddy and defensive back Xavier Lewis. Per The Advocate:

Sci Martin, an edge rusher from New Orleans, has transferred out, a source confirmed to The Advocate. According to @JuCoFootballACE, Martin is joining East Mississippi Community College.

Martin did not play this season and sporadically attended practice. He suffered a serious knee injury during spring practice and never seemed to fully recover. He recorded two tackles and played in five games as a true freshman in 2016.
