Mike Elko Was Asked About The LSU-SEC Feud On His Radio Show — Here’s What He Said

During his radio show on Wednesday night, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko was asked about the ongoing feud between LSU and the SEC.

A fan reportedly slipped Elko a handwritten note jokingly asking whether, if the SEC voted LSU out of the league, the Tigers would go independent or go to the NFL. This was his answer:

“This is a little bit like the son figuring out where the limits are until dad comes home and raises his voice, and then the son goes, ‘I was just kidding, I didn’t mean any of that.’ I think that’s what you’re seeing.

“LSU will be in the SEC. LSU will be fired up when we go to Baton Rouge in a couple weeks. All of those things are going to happen. This is just a little bit of, parenting, going on right now.”

A&M Folks putting their noses publicly into an issue between the SEC and another member institution. Those preverts should stick to their preversions and worry about what stupid thing they’ll be printing on next year’s stadium cups.

He put up 38 in 2024 and 49 points last year and won in Baton Rouge for the first time since the 90’s. I don’t think Elko is scared.

LSU's record against TAMU is 10-5 since 2011. During that time period, LSU has won a national championship, had 2 Heisman trophy winners, won 2 SEC championships. ALSO, did all that while not being gay.

You guys sniff a little success for a few years because you got lucky and found a QB in M.R. Now you want to thump your chest like you're the big dog. Every team has down years. Hopefully LSU restores order this year.
