ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. unveiled his mock draft 1.0 on Thursday and left defensive lineman Arden Key and running back Derrius Guice out of the first round.

Kiper Jr. has four defensive end's and just one running back, Penn State's Saquon Barkley, in the first round of his mock draft.

Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen is at the top of Kiper Jr. big board as the No. 1 pick.

Year of the DEs.... Kiper has 4 DE in first rounds.

I think Guice's skills compare to McCaffrey and his toughness gets him into 1st Rd 25-32 range. Key might drop to early-mid 2nd but not below that. No way Donte Jackson above 3rd and some might be surprised when he drops to 4th round

Guice has more heart than 90% of rbs in the pros now. Reminds me a lot of the way Chris Ivory ran in the beginning of his career. If he keeps that fire he will run for over 10K in his career.

You people are forgetting one thing if you can rush the passer the NFL will forget all your problems and last time I check LB Arden Key can definitely rush the passer. When the combines and pro days come around he and Derrius Guice will ball out and be first round picks and even CB Donte Jackson with his world class speed might creep up in the first you never know but, good luck to all the ex Tigers in the upcoming draft. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN??????????

Not to worry. Jerry will take Key, if available, in rd. 1. He’s not scared when it comes to off field issues. If a player has all the measureables he will get a shot with the Cowboys, regardless of personal problems. Key has this and should be a 1st. rd. pick. Guice should be a 1st. rounder also, especially teams seeing what Fournette has done for Jacksonville.

Put in the freshman and sophomore year tape. Key has number one overall potential. He will shine at the combine and pro day and will be drafted in the first round.

And then put in the year 3 tape where he was gone half the time and was completely out of shape till the ran of the season. Key reminds me of KIki mingo but with 1/4 of the heart.

The Saints would be stupid to take a wr over Key buy they done stranger things.

Key before the 3rd round is a risk.

Key is going to be a flop, like his last year was with us. He doesn't have the chest. To many issues.....could care less what he does.

"Gotta love that most people here TYPE like they are experts".... well, this is a message board, where people give opinions. I hope the best for Key, but given this bizarre year (physically and mentally), there are legitimate questions about him. Time will tell, but it's not unreasonable for people to question spending a high pick on him.

If/when Guice balls out at the combine, there wont be a second thought given to what round.

Guide will go first round. Key cost himself a ton of money by checking out last year. Second or third round.

I saw him give this this morning. He said its not the best guys but who he thinks that these teams will pick.

if that is what happens Key did slip a lot. Even with the Clemson guys not entering the draft would mean his offseason cost him major $$$

Guice will be a first rd i swear!!!

Key will not and should not be a first round pick. He's a solid third rounder.

Though it is kind of crazy. This is his mock draft and not his list of top players. Can be a big difference depending on who’s drafting when.

I liked Arden key but there's really no getting around that if he couldn't be bothered to stay dedicated at LSU why would he be bothered to stay dedicated after receiving a multimillion-dollar signing bonus

correct. If Arden Key was playing for Alabama and had the bizarre year he had, no one here would be saying he should be a top pick. Too risky for the big money. Too many blind homers on this board. Glad you're not one of them, Shorty.
