Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
LSU sophomore running back Lanard Fournette, the younger brother of Leonard Fournette, was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after he was allegedly caught gambling with a false ID at L'Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge on Monday. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Fournette, 20, of Slidell, was given bond of $1,000. An LSU team spokesman did not immediately respond to a message for comment.

Security video showed Fournette playing at a “craps table” for 16 minutes at about 1:30 p.m., before walking to the player’s services counter. Fournette then allegedly presented his real ID to the cashier for a cash withdrawal, who determined his age and contacted security.

Fournette was detained at the casino, but left before an officer's arrival, police said. When being questioned, Fournette said he used another person's ID to enter the casino, according to police.

Hard to throw stones. I did the same thing without getting caught 20 years ago.

How do you explain Ryan Perilloux getting kicked of the team for literally exactly the same offense, then? A player with astronomically more potential/

RP had plenty of other mistakes apparently. Missed workouts, team meetings and skipping class. He then failed a drug test.

Age should be 18 to gamble.

Please don't tell me he used Leonard Fournette's ID to get in.

big bro hooked him up with some of that contract money and he tried to double it. There are worse crimes players have committed in the past. That said, dont be a dumbass

If this is the worst thing he ever does, he'll be doing better than 90% of us

To all those people calling him a moron or an idiot, show me an 18-20 year old who isn't. Most are. Not a smart move, but also not something uncommon for someone that age. Hopefully he learns from it.

Percentage wise it's uncommon. Give me a break. There's no excuse for this.

Everyone has tried this at one time or another. Remember, he's just a teenager. The only thing he did wrong was not leaving his actual ID at home! I agree that 18 should be the legal age. If you're old enough to fight for your country, you're old enough to drink and gamble if you want to.

All these comparisons to Periloux is ridiculous! When Periloux did it, it was the final straw. He was constantly getting into trouble! He felt he was above the law because he was at LSU. This was Fournette's first offense. He a kid in college and made a stupid mistake. Show me a college student that age that didn't make a stupid mistake and I'll show you someone who's full of it! Cut the kid some slack!

he could win far more money by not showing up to a casino, wait til you are at least 21 and walla problem fixed. if he wanted to win some money at a casino before 21 simple solution, give it to his mother or older brother so that they can do it legal but i make way too much sence so what do i know. carry on keep doing dumb things and get arrested :)
