Football Scoop is reporting that LSU offensive analyst Kyle Caskey is leaving Baton Rouge to join Urban Meyers' staff on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Caskey spent the previous 11 seasons in the NFL and was with the Detroit Lions last year but was not retained when Lions transitioned to new coach Dan Campbell this offseason.

Caskey joined LSU staff in May and was working with the running back group.
quote:

Now, LSU once again will shift to filling an analyst spot as quickly as possible with its season opener just nine days away at Chip Kelly's UCLA Bruins.

Though hardly as pressing as an on-field role, the vacant position still is an important one for an LSU staff featuring three new coaches on the offensive side of the ball – including coordinator Jake Peetz and passing game coordinator DJ Mangas – and trying to help the Tigers rebound from an up-and-down 5-5- 2020 campaign.

You think Jake Peetz signed a one year contract last year with the Panthers? Same with Darante Jones signing with the Vikings? Odds are both of your coordinators left their positions at their old jobs before their contracts were over. Caskey left a job that pays about 75k a year where he isn't even allowed to coach players for one that likely pays at least twice that. You people are the epitome of dramatic clowns.

Maybe he thinks LSU will have a coaching change at the end of the year. Two 5-5 seasons and there will be change....

The "right thing to do" is double your salary with a better position and take care of your children.

He is an analyst. He isn't allowed to coach the players. I think they will survive.

High school kids committing to colleges has zero integrity nowadays, and it sounds like contracts that coaches sign with schools don’t mean shite either.
