LSU sophomore cornerback Javien Toviano reportedly turned himself into the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office on Sunday after being accused of video voyeurism. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Toviano, 19, is accused of recording himself having sex with a woman without her consent, according to the arrest warrant. The woman told detectives she found videos of the two on Toviano's iPad that were recorded on a clock with a built-in camera placed near the bed.

Toviano "has been suspended from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies," LSU said in a statement. LSU begins preseason practice Aug. 1, and Toviano was expected to compete for playing time at cornerback.

"We will not have further comment out of respect for the legal process," the statement says.

You can set your watch to a late summer suspension right before the season starts. Been happening for well over a decade.

I'd rather get non-consenual filming now than get a possible rape charge later! Not saying all women are like this, but sometimes they Holla rape when they realize dollars aren't coming thier way! Js...

There is not much of a future for those who walk in darkness. Hopefully, he will start to understand this.

You would think that’s the case, but so many terrible people make it to the top in sports and other fields. Tyreek Hill comes to mind.

Will there ever be an off season where none of our stars get in trouble with the law? Seems like 101 common sense: stay out of trouble and my chances of making it to next level increase. In today’s standards, he’s only guilty of being stupid.

Not going to ruin a kids life for making a stupid mistake. If he didn't post it anywhere or share it then I give him the benefit of the doubt. Should be some kind of punishment but give him the opportunity to make amends and get back on the team.

It’s not a stupid mistake when he keeps doing it. The woman asked him to stop doing it. He made a premeditated effort to conceal it and continue to do it. Who knows what he did with it and people can still access that video without him posting it. No clue who he could’ve showed it to and he can hold it over here to keep her doing whatever he wants. Like what kind of an a-hole are you.

What?! You do not have to do all that to not film someone against their consent. Geezus, what kind of backwards logic is this?

We need a thorough investigation, which he should be given the benefit of the doubt during it. That investigation's results can be announced on September 2nd and if any punishment is determined it can be served during the first half or full game versus Nicholls State.
