LSU athletic director Joe Alleva spoke at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Tuesday to provide updates about the athletic program and urged fans to be “patient” with LSU coach Ed Orgeron.

Orgeron, who is in the middle of his first season at LSU as full-time head coach, started slowly with two bad losses to Mississippi State and Troy but has quickly rebounded to put the Tigers back on track.

Alleva commended him for "righting the ship" and began his speech by joking about not having to watch game film with Orgeron this week:

Alleva also provides updates about facility upgrades, the possibility of beer sales in Tiger Stadium along with cheaper football ticket prices in the future.

So if u stay true to yourself u shouldn't care what the football team does the rest of the season. Alleva = rough start on the front end of his tenure as LSU AD. 2017 LSU football season = rough start on the front end of their season. Let it play out u might be in for a pleasant surprise. After reading his quotes, if he is true to his words, both Alleva and LSU football are trending in the same direction. ??

Gives silence, and dodges during embarrassing moments, and times to criticize decision making. Walks to the podium as the team rebounds some. The problem Joe is that you gave O the buyout, you flubbed firing Les, you gave Les the buyout, and in general, you make horrible decisions. Don't take a PR tour now.

Beer. It's beer. The missing link. Coach O and a Natty depends on beer. A Natty beer.

They can't even figure out how to sell cold bottled water, no way they figure out how to sell beer.

Sell beer and serve gumbo and jambalaya and the fans will come. Eliminate the loud, blaring music during time outs, and people will stay. Pretty simple.

Absolutely! Let the GBFTL play and do away with the piped in crap. Make Death Valley great again!

He should wear a dunce cap when in public

considering how much revenue beer sales alone would generate for LSU I am surprised LSU took the "high road" this long. Beer sales should have long been implemented.

Read above... it’s the SEC, NOT LSU dictating those terms.

The worst thing about LSU turning the corner and possibly having a successful ending is that it saves this idiot’s job for another year.

Reading anything about him gets my blood boiling. Screw Alleva. He should never have been hired in the first place. It’s pathetic. While we will let O play his hand, Alleva has played his on several occasions and failed. LSU is far too good to have this incompetent excuse for an AD be at the controls.

Joe is tutoring athletes when he isn't watching game film.

Sounds almost too good to be true. Usually, when that happens, it's generally BS.
