Former LSU defensive back Kelvin Joseph is transferring to Kentucky, according to Justin Rowland with Rivals.

Joseph chose the Wildcats over Florida and others in the SEC.

Joseph entered in his name in NCAA Transfer portal two different times this offseason but is officially headed to Kentucky now.

Joseph was a highly recruited safety from Scotlandville Magnet in Baton Rouge for the 2018 class but moved to cornerback for his freshman season because of depth issues in LSU's secondary.

I just watched the Fiesta Bowl game and noticed he was suspended just when his team needed him and was scheduled to start in place of Greedy and Fulton. That's disappointing. Maybe he can make a fresh start in Kentucky.

Just like Savion Smith. I get it, these kids want to play in the money league (NFL). Unfortunately if you can’t start at LSU, your chances at the next level are slim.

If you get ran off by incoming freshmen then LSU is better off. Enjoy UK and winning 4-5 games a year

Good luck to you. This might be the move he needed to make in order to get on the field more and increase his chances of making it to the next level.

This is why I can’t take the 5-star, 4-star, 3-star thing seriously.

Lolwut? The numbers back up that the stars matter quite a bit. Hell, he was passed by the top DB in the country, for example. Ignore them at your own peril.

Sad to see. Wish him luck. Would've had quite a nice year here. But damn. I guess he'll be in the NFL soon. He's definitely that talented. But if he can't outcompete our younger talent, he's either not as good as we thought, afraid of competition, or our underclassmen are just freaks. The first two will hurt his draft stock. Hope it all works out for him.

Update, Savion Smith entered the NFL Draft. Went undrafted, eventually signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He'll find out that the grass is not bluer on the other side of the SEC.

Kanye has manic bipolar disorder. Like, diagnosed, not me just saying shite on the internet. If Kelvin had it too he would be far more erratic. The dude just wants to start at CB, we don't need him, Kentucky does....everybody wins. Chill
