"There is nothing I want more than to suit up in 7". I guess that's not exactly true. If those spindly legs can't handle 10 college football games how will they handle twenty NFL games?

I hope the best for him, at the same time I hope in the interest of his personal safety from CV-19 he is not utilizing any of the training facilities at LSU. If he can be around the training facilities and doesn't think that is risky he should have played.

Wasn't he part of the "Let Us Play" movement? I wish nothing but the best for Jamar add I hope he represents LSU week in the pros but I just don't know what is up with these kids today? Their word means absolutely nothing. Even before covid these kids were flip flipping on their commitments.

Dude is an absolute freak talent. Should’ve been the first WR drafted this year. Scored what? 20 touchdowns last year. Are you kidding me, he owes nothing more. He’s going to make more with one signature than everyone of these keyboard crybabies combined.

Please respect his decision (positive vibes only). Let’s all hope to see him back again on campus in the future to finish his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. #TwoAndOut

He earned nothing without his team. His team earned what they got but he has unfinished business. I’m also pretty sure that they just allowed players to make money on themselves this year, so he will miss out on that opportunity to make money and he would have been one of the only players to do so. This isn’t in his best interest. He could earn more than most people do in 4-5 months of playing than most people do in a year. At least wait until a decision is made to play or not. If they aren’t playing then it would be more understanding but I still wouldn’t like that. I just never saw myself or anyone in my family as the selfish type. If he were my son, I’d be advising him to play no matter if the season went on or not. You finish! That’s what we do, we finish. The chances of anything negative happening are extremely low. No more than they were last season. This isn’t right imo. I could care less about the state of the team. LSU has plenty of talent but he hurts his teammates by doing this. They may support him because he’s a brother but it hurts them regardless. It’s just selfish on their part. It’s turning your back on the LSU brand, the school as a whole and the great LSU fans who have supported him. This changes my perception of him. Joe Burrow could have quit after all those hits also. He didn’t quit, he fought harder! Why not just quit after you’ve proven yourself in the middle of a season? It’s the same thing. You have at least 3 years to make the best of your time now. He will absolutely regret this decision later, unless he just won’t or can’t admit his true feelings.

You did not wear 7. You wore the hell out of no.1 though.

I don’t like this.... I never will like this. The best decision for me is not to get into my vehicle everyday but I do it. I just can’t respect this.

Good coach, championship caliber players, however not the mentality of a champion. Get what you can and go mentality. Product of the poor. Lsu the new C8 corvette, super car characteristics on the outside, but just another Chevy deep down!

I would think this has considerably more to do with the strangeness of this season and less to do with Covid fears. I agree he shouldn't have taken the picture in #7 since he never wore it in a game but can't say I blame him either - what if multiple games get canceled? And even if they don't, is the championship even going to be as respected this year? Just some things to consider. Geaux Tigers.

If we win, it’s 100% valid. If the gumps win, it’s a garbage title with a giant fricking asterisk.

It sucks to see him opt out of the season, but anyone questioning his motives is ignorant. He's clearly the #1 WR in the 2021 NFL draft and has nothing left to prove. Take off the year, train, get paid and represent LSU in the NFL. Plus, LSU is loaded at WR and someone will step up.

Thanks Ja’Marr for an incredible 2019 and all you contributed to LSU winning the Championship. Good luck to you!!

Lol yea don't give a shite. Talking about preparing to defend the national championship and what an honor to wear the #7 it is, yet does neither and quits on his teammates. Enjoyed the one good season we had with him. Didn't so much as a freshman, won't do anything as a junior.
