No mask for me. I have my certain places I go to that could care less about mask.
Mask mandate after April?

Let’s get a pole going of who thinks the mask mandate will still be here after April, or if Bel Boy Edwards will extend it further.

Quit getting tested if you think your sick or show some of the obvious symptoms like no taste or smell them don’t go anywhere until you feel better. Cause guess what you only make matters worse for everyone else. Unless you are dying don’t get tested. Before all of this you got sick you stayed home and vegged out on the couch till you felt better. Nothing has changed. Quit continuing to give the fear mongers more power by these test numbers.

re: It’s statistically more likely that an 18-22 year old will be struck by lightning

I mean we talk about how these are kids in one aspect and then another we talk about how they are young adults. Old enough to vote then they are old enough to make this decision to play or not. Let them understand the risk and have them sign wavers to where there is no legal issues. I’m not saying that I demand that they play for my own entertainment but let’s face the facts. Most of these kids came to this school to play football in the hopes of making it to the NFL. Majority of them will not stay until they graduate. You take that away from them especially the seniors the ones that did decide to stay one more year to play and graduate then what’s the fairness in that. My thing is don’t say we are gonna push it back to the spring time knowing that your more than likely just going to end up cancelling it all together. Push it back a few weeks after school starts then make the decision. Tired of this world making knee jerk reactions to everything. Logical thinking and common sense have gone out of the window since this has all started.

We suffer bad enough as a state with our fantastic ranking in education level. I seriously think the last thing we need is ignorant pot heads on top of the already ignorant people that are here right now. I myself am included in the ignorant category. Let’s not make Louisiana dumber.
re: Navy Recruiting - Anyone here know anything about it?

I would rethink the going to college first when he can have them pay for it. Also if he decides to do the Navy as a career I would deff recommend doing it as an officer. There are (at least when I was in) a few enlisted to officer programs he can apply for but He would have to research the requirements for that. As far as clearance goes not sure about that. I was in the engine room so we were to dumb for any special clearance lol. As far as learning a trade I would suggest choosing a rate in the engineering department. That would be your mechanics and electricians as far as hands on trades go. Good luck to him and thanks for his service.

I can probably bet that phase 3 won’t be in their thoughts until seeing how things go for about a month after kids get into school.

I’m not sure with just barely a week into the mask mandate that we can say it’s working. Hope that was sarcasm. I mean it does take “2 weeks” for a good results on anything else.
