Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze spoke to the media on Wednesday and said he got" literally sick to his stomach" when he heard the news about Les Miles. Per ESPN:
quote:

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze on Les Miles firing: "When I heard the news, my stomach was sick. Les has been so genuinely kind to me and my family. I consider him a heck of a football coach and a better man. … He's the type of guy that every time you see him you see what you get. He's a genuine spirit that cares about people. That was difficult to see." Freeze's daughters are close with Miles as well. Freeze sat down and talked to them about Miles' firing.

Id get sick to my stomach as Ole Miss' HC knowing I had to potentially worry about LSU being a contender in the west again.

Nobody should be happy that things worked out the way they did. It's a sad situation all the way around.

I'll be sick too if I was a competitor of LSU and knew that they could possibly get some coaching to coach the talent LSU has and will bring to BR.

Seems like Les was probably running through a lot of y'alls moms. Lot of butt hurt and piling on him when he's down. Stay classy TD.

You see exactly what you get with his offenses too. Head ball coach is not a personality contest, unfortunately. Congrats to Coach Miles on his successes, and thanks for the good times. Best of luck.

I imagine all SEC coaches was pissed he got fired. He was the easiest coach in the conference to game plan against.

Some fricking idiots in here who think this truly is the reason. And if you're just being sarcastic then you're a REAL fricking idiot.

If it's just football then why the big deal about being fired?

We didn't pay Les Miles 4M a year for him to be a genuine man.

Eh, part of his pay was absolutely due to the kind of ambassador he was for the school.

If he's "A heck of a coach" like you claim, why don't you handicap your team by signing him to your staff. What makes his stomach sick is the fact that his name is not being mentioned for the gig.

People love working for a fanbase that want you fired if you don't win 9+ games every season.

Henry...the fanbase wanted him fired because of the quality of talent on this team underachieving which is obviously due to poor coaching. Les was a great human being with a very hard head. The offense was as predictable as the sun rising tomorrow.

Not sick enough to keep himself from trying to disparage LSU publicly. I love all these coaches shooting preemptive strikes on the recruiting trail.

Grow up coach! The 'elite' club you have the privilege to belong to is not far from the D.C. 'elite'. When you fail to meet expectations in the real world, you get FIRED!!!
