LSU (11-0, 7-0 SEC) is currently No. 1 in the AP Top 25, Coaches Poll, and the College Football Playoff Rankings heading into the final week of the regular season.

The Tigers would also be No. 1 in the old BCS rankings, ahead of Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia.

Need to go back to it to determine the playoff teams.

You sliced it wrong. Yankee Big Ten media disagree

Note where Auburn is on this list and remember that when Alabama wins handily this weekend. An Auburn win would be an upset.

Pretty sure that list isn’t accounting for Tuna being out and a shitty defense!

Having the 4 teams is so huge. No way an undefeated defending national champion Clemson should be left out as would be the case.

Why does LAST year matter? Different team. Totally different defense. Easiest schedule of the top 5, maybe of the top 10. Who is better? A 10-1 team with the 7th hardest schedule? or a 11-0 team with the 93rd hardest schedule? If SOS is not important, why was 12-0 UCF left out the past 2 years?

Any computer poll that has Alabama ahead of LSU is worthless. I'm talking to you Sagarin.

I wish we could go back to the bcs rankings and just take the top 4

The flaw with the BCS system was using the opinion polls, and the CFP system is 100% opinion polls. No chance for bias there. Right?

CFP just centralized the decision making process. It use to be a handful of computer polls, dropping the best and worst then averaging, then taking the coaches and AP poll. Lots and lots of voters and computers involved. Now its a handful of people having 100% of the say. How anyone thought this was a better idea is beyond me. It's akin to doing away with the electoral college in favor of letting a dozen people pick the President.

"Now its a handful of people having 100% of the say. How anyone thought this was a better idea is beyond me" ..... so I assume you also want to get rid of the March Madness Committee and just go with human polls and RPI?

Looks to me like maybe Alabama should have played some people with a pulse.

Alabama is going to be the highest ranked 1 loss team after Georgia loses. Their schedule benefited them. They should have beaten LSU is what I think you mean.

Ssuba, should've? you realize that your gumps NEVER possessed the ball with less than a two score deficit in the second half? Sure you do, youre just a retard looking for attention,

@Ssubba: What should have been are the results of the game. The best team finds a way to win.
