Former LSU tight end Forster Moreau, who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, has signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Reporter Ian Rappaport.

The deal is worth $12 million with $8 million guaranteed.

Moreau has had positive results after treatment and plans to play this year, according to his agent. Per ESPN:

Moreau, 26, was diagnosed after a physical conducted by the Saints' medical staff in March. As part of the free agency process, Moreau visited the Saints in New Orleans and visited the Cincinnati Bengals.

Moreau since has had positive results after treatment and plans to play this season, Linta told Fowler.

Moreau has the go-ahead to return to the football field next week. The Saints will begin their OTA sessions on May 23, although it's unclear yet how much he'll participate.

The former Jesuit High School recruit played at LSU from 2015-2018 and wore No. 18 for the Tigers during his senior season. The Raiders selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Lol. I was laughed off of the Saints board for suggesting that he do exactly this in the immediate aftermath of his diagnosis.

Great news for both the Saints and Foster. Glad he caught it early and is kicking cancer’s arse. He will be a great complement to Juwan Johnson.
