Former LSU defensive lineman Siaki Ika announced Monday that he will be transferring to Baylor where he will reconnect with former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and DL coach Dennis Johnson.

Ika, a former four-star prospect from Salt Lake City, UT, entered the NCAA transfer portal in October. His role in LSU's defense was limited this past season under Bo Pelini's 4-3 scheme.

That seems like a good spot for him and a good get for Baylor. By next season he’ll be 2 years older than he was when he played for us. They’ll be getting a good player.

He and Dave were close from the recruiting, etc. Stands to reason that his NT position might be of use again.

He won't be the last defensive transfer/decommit if we don't shed Pellini soon.

Hes a 3/4 nose tackle. Not a 4/3 dt.
