Brian Kelly Responds To Critics Calling Out LSU's Lack Of Physicality

During his weekly press conference on Monday, head coach Brian Kelly was asked about former players and others calling out LSU's lack of physicality on the football team, specifally on the offensive side of the ball.

Here's what he had to say:

"I think we need to be more physical," Kelly responded. "I think there is always the need for physicality and how you play this game. Football is about violent colisions."

"Certainly, from an offensive line standpoint, everyone is going to look towards the physicallity there on the offensive line but those are the best five guys we have out there. If we had another group, we would certainly play them, as well."

"Listen, everybody is going to look at this, and has their opinions, and I respect everyones opinions. But there is no doubt that any time you evaulate your football team, the first thing you are going to look for is physicallity."

That should be the follow up question. If that's the best and the backups aren't any better, whose fault is it that the O-line isn't any better? the answer everyone knows is its either Davis or Kelly.

Was at the South Carolina game sitting about 20 rows back from the LSU bench. The backup Offensive Linemen didnt even pay attention to the game. They didnt cheer on third down stops, look at the field, or anything. They just talked with each other and joked around laughing all 4 quarters. Those guys are not SEC Linemen. They were clowns. Not sure how they made the team, but I believe BK when he says the 5 guys we got are the best we got just from that one experience.
