LSU received a major victory in its ongoing eligibility battle with the SEC and NCAA on Thursday night.

Judge William Jorden granted a preliminary injunction to several athletes seeking an additional year of college eligibility, including Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris.

According to The Advocate's Wilson Alexander, Wright and Harris are currently eligible to play for LSU if the Tigers decide to add them to the roster.

This sets up a monstrous decision for LSU: whether to add them to the roster, which is due tomorrow.

The ruling came after a lengthy hearing Thursday in Baton Rouge that included testimony from SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, Wright, Harris, and other athletes.

The SEC also filed a separate federal lawsuit against LSU, Lane Kiffin, and university leadership in Alabama on Thursday as the legal battle continues.

Baton Rouge Judge rules in favor of LSU? Shocking.

The wise move would be to leave them off the roster this game and next because while they may help, we don’t need them for those two games. The benefit we’d gain in Week 1 and Week 2 isn’t worth the risk. Give the dust time to settle, see what happens with the federal action filed today, then make a decision before submitting the Week 3 roster.

All schools using players who signed with, but didn’t make an NFL team, are now free to use them. There are over 30 players affected by this ruling. Not just two for LSU. It’s a court order so suck it up. If it’s overturned, fine, but until if and when that happens, the NCAA can’t do crap. It’s their own doing with their pathetic decisions and disgusting leadership.

The sec is already going to have a a hard on for LSU whether they add the players or not. Might as well go all in now.

The issue is now the federal lawsuit. If the emergency hearing goes past Friday and LSU loses while these players are rostered, the SEC will throw the book at LSU and Lane Kiffin. The case is going to be in Alabama. LSU will most likely not win. This is not worth it anymore. Just move on.

Tough decision for LK. The SEC will come after LK and LSU. Key word is preliminary ..this will be a distraction all year from the SEC if LSU adds these players. I would pass. We already have a great roster without them.
