Arkansas safety Santos Ramirez from Shreveport, LA spoke with the media this week ahead of the LSU game and had some interesting comments about quarterback Brandon Harris. Per ArkansasNews.com:
quote:

“He is predictable where he wants to go. He has got a good arm on him but he’s not as accurate,” Ramirez said. “He’s not very good with the ball in terms of decision making but he can really throw the ball and he can get receivers behind us and we have to be careful with it.”
Harris has thrown for 1226 yards and 10 touchdowns with 1 interception this season. He also has 180 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns on the ground.

Ramirez, a class of 2014 three star prospect from Evangel Christian Academy was recruited by LSU as a fullback but committed to Arkansas to play safety.
quote:

“I have been looking forward trying to get to LSU,” Ramirez said. “I have some past ties with them and I want to get down there and show them what I’m all about.”
LSU and Arkansas will kickoff at 6:15pm CT on ESPN.

Ramirez just F'd himself. I hope to see Fournette truck him or one of our receivers burn him several times. Time to teach this kid some humility even though he is not even a notable DB.

Well, being that Franks is currently committed to LSU and has been for a long while I think proves that LSU is recruiting QBs who can throw the ball. I find it amusing that Harris was the darling of so many so called fans until he throws his 1st interception in his 8th start of the season and all of a sudden he is ready for the trash heap. Is it just possible that he is a Sophomore QB who had the pressure of the situation got to him in the biggest game (on the road)
in his young career? What a bunch of Chicken Littles and how soon they forget the 5 interception outing by the Bama QB vs. Ole Miss. It happens.

He's salty because LSU didn't want his garbage behind. Bet he didn't have a committable offer.

BH is physically superior to AJ, but neither is an SEC Championship caliber QB. The short-medium range passing game is not there at all and is HAS to be in order to procure first place in the West or overall SEC. Now sit back and watch the HC continue to recruit QB's that can't throw the football. Hey, the word out is that Franks may be wavering too!.....................

Where did all the Harris fans go all of a sudden. The guy has
9 starts in his entire career and is a true Sophomore. He has improved dramaticly in the last 12 months but is still a work in progress. I personally think he has been handled very well
by Cam and Les but it probably would have benefitted him if they would have sat him for a series or two at Bama after he
threw the interception. I think Harris will continue to improve and I look for him to play well against Arkansas.

He wasn't recruited as a damn fullback, he was recruited as a DB. Larry, where did you get that info?

And he is right about everything on Harris except for decision making. Harris makes pretty damn good decisions, it's his accuracy, timing, and his inability to change speeds on various passes that is failing him now.

Arkansas has the worst pass rush and pass defense in the SEC. Harris should have a field day.

He was listed as 6'1" 172# out of high school.

Well that just pretty much guaranteed Harris throws for 300 and 4 TD's. And Fournette trucks this guy at least twice.

Oh by the way, the dude is 6'2" and weighs 202#. A 202# Fullback? Really? Kinda hard to believe.
