Talented four-star running back TreVonte' Citizen from Lake Charles, La. announced his top eight schools on Thursday and included LSU in the mix.

His top schools are Auburn, Nebraska, USC, Florida, Miami, Michigan State, LSU, and Grambling.

The 6-0, 217-pound prospect from Lake Charles College Prep was committed to LSU throughout this past season but reopened up his recruitment in late November just days before Brian Kelly was hired.

Citizen, who is rated the No. 2 running back in the country according to Rivals, remains a top priority for LSU as new associate head coach and running back coach Frank Wilson visited with him just days after he was hired.

I coached against his father’s team. All I remember is my two nephews got run over by his father Tony. Hopefully Citizen narrows his search down to 35 schools by signing day. Then whomever has the most money to offer he can go there.

When's the bathing suit competition & the talent show? Ha! Would love to get him, but we have a bird in the hand with Noah. Would be great to get him, but the drama is big here.

How the hell do you have a “top 8” in the middle of January? Whatever dude

Getting Cain tells me we might not be playing with this dude's shenanigans. Sounds like he's a head case.

Bless his little heart. He may as well remove LSU because our shite stinks. His apparently doesn't.

rescind the offer and let him go. Time to move on. Better to have a kid that freely wants to play here than a hired gun only motivated by bucks. Not a good start on his adult awareness of values for life.

He is the best RB prospect imo. But at this point as long as it isn't Florida or auburn it's a win imo
