Elite five-star safety Blaine Bradford from Baton Rouge announced his commitment to Ohio State on Monday morning, picking the Buckeyes over LSU.

Bradford, a 6-1, 207-pounder from Catholic High School, is rated the No. 1 safety in the country and No. 2 overall player in Louisiana for 2026.

Blaine's older brother, Jacob Bradford, signed with LSU in December as a four-star safety.

I'm all for not over paying for high school players. If a player really wants to be at LSU they will be a tiger. There is no need to get into a bidding war for a high school player.

A sensible take.

"Ohio State is the best place for my development and for my future.”

That's pretty comical. In other words, they are willing to write a bigger check.

what was the last big recruit in Louisiana to go to Ohio State lmao, purely about money here

Or maybe he doesn’t want to settle for 9-3 with CBK?

A commitment these days only means that a price has been set as a starting point in negotiations.

Joe Burrow probably said that at least once too.

This is all a money play. He is telling LSU to pony up. No way does his family want the brothers go g to different schools, as long as the money is similar. Go get him Gordon, get it done.

Easy. If Jacob isn't actually a baller, yank his scholarship and tell him to go check out OSU with lily bro...

Best of luck to this young man in the future. We’re better off focusing attention on guys that want to play for LSU.

The new state of college FB. Don’t care anymore and my stress levels over this game are super low. Good times.

Young man will undoubtedly transfer at some point.

LSU needs save money for transfer players. High schools players might be a bust.

big deal. We will buy a better safety that some other school preps for LSU. OSU will prep Bradford for his transfer destination. Maybe it will be LSU.

Just wait until he realizes how different Ohio people compared to us. I lived in Ohio for 4 years, the most. Resist. State in the Country.
And……they have absolutely zero Food we have
But. Good Luck. See you in 2 years

Just ask the folks in places nearby Columbus (Springfield) how racist they are. Even our VP dissed the place and he was representing them.

If things don't go the way he wants in Columbus, we'll get him in the transfer portal next year.
