Four-star LSU offensive guard commit Edward Ingram sent out a tweet on Thursday night to let coaches from other schools know that he has shut down his recruitment.

This is great news for the LSU coaching staff as Ingram has been on board with the Tigers since he gave his verbal pledge back in April.

Ingram, a 6-4, 327-pound prospect from DeSoto, Texas is rated the No. 8 offensive guard in the country and the No. 18 overall player from the state of Texas for the class of 2017, according to ESPN.

He is one of four offensive lineman commits in LSU's 2017 class along with Saahdiq Charles, Seth Stewart, and Austin Deculus.

Now that's a good one. He's even better than his rating. Now let's get some DL's and LB's so we don't become A&M.

This is why Coach O is Head Coach along with the majority of the staff being retained. Excellent recruiting skills by all. I do want to see us lock down a few linebackers and defensive lineman. We have 8 spots left, and I suspect that's what those are for. Getting bigger and stronger is Coach O's main goal this offseason. It looks like we're headed in the right direction!

Spare me the Coach O bjs. LSU recruits for itself. Retain 50% of the in state talent and you'll have a top 7 class.

Can't they sign the LOI now? Or do they have to wait?

They have to wait until the first Wednesday in February. There's no early signing period like in other sports
