Talented four-star 2020 quarterback Max Johnson committed to LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron on Monday and went public with his decision on Wednesday night.

Johnson, a 6-4, 215-pound prospect from Watkinsville, GA is the son of former NFL quarterback and Super Bowl Champion Brad Johnson.

The pro-style passer from Oconee County HS chose the Tigers over offers from schools like Miami, Florida State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Michigan, Georgia, and many others.

LSU now has seven verbal commitments for the class of 2020 with the addition of Johnson. He becomes the Tigers second quarterback in the class to go along with four-star pro-style passer TJ Finley from Ponchatoula, LA.

An Ex NFL QBs son? Well you know he'll know his fundamentals of the position at least. The OL should be beastly by then and our RBs will be 3rd year juniors. He be ready to play in a perfect environment IMO. Keep landing those big time WRs, RBs, OLman, add a couple of 6'5 TEs and boom we good to go.

Can't be. The son of an NFL QB would have to know that Coach O should have never been hired and that LSU is a dumpster fire. Just ask this fan base.

How did we snag Mark Richt’s nephew? Good snag. He and TJ Finley have our future looking bright.
