Former LSU Coach Will Wade Linked To Ole Miss Job

After Ole Miss coach Kermit Davis was fired Friday morning, college hoops insider Jeff Goodman mentioned former LSU coach Will Wade as a possible candidate for the open job in Oxford.

Wade has been out of coaching since being fired by LSU last March.

Chris Beard and Dusty May are also possible candidates, according to Goodman.

It's worse than just Scott. I would bet you the SEC office was in on some meetings with SW because of the FBI tapes and I bet you Sankey was suggesting dismissal from LSU program to help make thos all go away.

Now to allow 1 year later the most heated rival of LSU over the last 100 years to hire a coach within the conference with the knowledge of why LSU dismissed Wade. Is absurd for the SEC office to allow. If Wade gets a job out of conference no problem at all from me. I believe in Wade and I don't think he did anything wrong. I,you or them have no idea what else was said on those tapes. Some people have said Wade paid players from his wife's personal account and at this moment in time I have not seen a canceled check.

The SEC office is playing favorites and building programs off the backs of other programs if you ask me. This is the job of the SEC office to help build the brand. Not to crush a program. Like SW and I believe the SEC office did. I believe they took advantage of SW and LSU. That also is an issue that SW doesn't have a back bone to stand-up and say no to the home office.

I'd be pissed based on what has happened with NIL buying players, and what has not happened by NCAA not stopping it. So we could have bought anyone we wanted and nothing would happen. OM will get a good coach. Normally I don't stick my nose too deep in Men's Basket Ball but this is obvious.
