Prior to Monday night's game between Ohio State and Notre Dame, Nick Saban appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and offered his unprompted opinion about an unregulated NIL environment...
quote:

"The people out there need to know this model is unsustainable," Saban said. "It's not good for players."

The 73-year-old implored Congress to "get off their butt and do something"

"Players need to get compensated, no doubt. But it has to be done in a way where we have competitive balance, and that every school has the same thing,” Saban continued. "One school can't spend $30 million for players while another school's spending $3 million."

People can hate on Saban all they want, but he is 100% correct and I personally believe he truly wants what’s best for CFB.

I would love to see him team up with Tommy Tuberville and Joe Manchin and their Protecting Athletes, Schools and Sports Act to try to save college sports.

He definitely has the biggest stage and established credibility of anyone else involved in college football to try to fix these problems.

He wasn’t saying any of this when Alabama was handing out bags of cash and cars under the table

Wisconsin is already making moves with that safety transfer to Miami. He signed a 2-year agreement with their collective and they are trying to hold him to it.

Just put a fricking cap on it and problem solved

Yep. A cap and reinstate the transfer portal rules. That’s the only way you “fix” anything.

Why should Congress step in though?

I agree something needs to be done, but it's NOT the federal government's job.

Nick has College Football in his best interest. Trump should add Nick to the administration to MCFGA.

Saban does not like it when everyone else is allowed to be compensated.

Yep, I'm sure your school never paid players or did anything wrong. Always part of the "Dindonuffin" clan.
