Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban is scheduled to appear before Congress on Tuesday as part of Texas senator Ted Cruz's roundtable that will focus on NIL and its impact on college sports...

LSU develops players - mainly QBs, WRs abd DBs. Bama pays players. Big difference. Underwood did not choose LSU for the money. He could have gotten paid more at 10 other places. He wants to be developed like Jayden.

He's talking about paying players without fear of NCAA violations, while being able to sic the NCAA on anyone else who tries to do the same thing.

That's the college athletics he's pining for.

Nick Saban seriously talked about his concern for competitive balance during the NIL era. It's not like he vacuumed up huge majority of the top high school talent for years leading to an insane competitive advantage over literally everyone.

Let’s call a spade a spade NIL is the best thing to happen to athletes getting a piece of the action . Transfer rule, tampering , free agency needs to stop .

College ball was so much better when players got paid under the table and had to risk eligibility yet everyone pretended they were amateurs even though they generate billions of dollars for mostly public institutions with large scale endowments and operating budgets.

I hope Kennedy asks him about Chargers and Chllengers, long before NIL. They used to get a bulk rate on those. NIL came along, the Gumps quit buying them, and Chrysler had to quit making them.
