Ate there yesterday. Place was hot. Turns out the AC was out for two weeks. Staff miserable. Customers not comfortable but for the old folks on blood thinner. Staff said corporate had known for two weeks and still did nothing about it.
big whigs must be French.

How is that even possible? How are they still having customers? I can't imagine it'd be safe to be cooking in a commercial kitchen with no A/C in south Louisiana in August.

Also has been out at Denham Tractor Supply for at least a month.
Last week they had the mobile AC units in there but still....why does it take so long to replace?

People are quick to say that money is the issue and it may well be. I can tell you that getting parts for ACs has become much harder after covid. The world economy is slowing down and this will become more common

Picaddilly in Mall St Vincent in Shreveport has had no air for MONTHS.
We last went in the spring, when it was first getting warm, and they said it had been out several weeks, might get fixed by July. It was intolerable then, and I heard recently that it was still out.
Not sure if this is a Piccadilly problem or a mall problem. Both are busted arse organizations prone to financial failure, so it's a coin toss.
Those mobile units weren't doing anything but blowing napkins off the tables.

Supply chain issues, and good contractors, are hard to come by for commercial buildings. Where I work we've had good luck with a local company that does our routine maintenance and service calls, but when we needed two HVAC replacements it still took a week to get it scheduled and another few days before work began. Thankfully it wasn't the only unit in those two buildings, but stuff just seems to be taking longer with any sort of commercial work.

If they had zero customers they would get it fixed pretty damn quick,

As we move away from the global economy to more regional set ups it will slow down. Another thing, if they needed a full replacement they are also scheduling a damn crane. I've ran into scheduling issues with that as well
