Social services are collapsing in Spain, due to illegals.

Social services across the Spanish capital of Madrid are reportedly collapsing under the strain of Spain’s mass migrant amnesty program, as local governments struggle to meet the needs of both residents and migrants.

WHAT HAPPENED: Social services in the Spanish capital of Madrid have been overwhelmed after Spain’s government, led by Socialist Party politician Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, launched a mass amnesty program granting legal status and work permits to an estimated 500,000 illegal immigrants.
?? DETAIL: In mid-April, the Spanish government announced an amnesty plan an estimated 500,000 illegal immigrants the right to live and work in the country. While the program requires migrants to meet minimum criteria, the sheer volume of applications has reportedly caused a breakdown in local government operations. Local mayors, such as David Conde of Valdemoro and Salomón Aguado of Pinto, two municipalities in the Madrid area, have criticized the lack of coordination, warning that local governments are struggling to provide for both long-time residents and the new arrivals. In some cases, people are waiting for up to 15 days for essential services. In particular, Correos, Spain’s national postal service, has been placed under immense pressure due to the number of applications. Still, the Spanish government’s mass amnesty program is set to run through to June.
?? KEY QUOTE: “The government views migrants as objects to be distributed, but they are people, and we simply cannot keep up with the demand to assist them properly.” — David Conde, Mayor of Valdemoro.
?? IMPACT: The mass amnesty program has significantly disrupted municipal operations. If pressures are not alleviated, the government’s decision to grant amnesty could drive support for anti-mass migration party Vox, led by Santiago Abascal. The collapse of local services across Spain reflects warnings from labor unions and civil servants that the amnesty program could overwhelm municipal governments.

Its reaching that point here
One of the ERs we cover is approximately 25% spanish speaking self pay, most of them not citizens or otherwise here “legally” i assume
And thats louisiana. I can only imagine how bad it is some places closer to border

They will blame lots of things, but they won't blame the actual problem.

What until they have to start paying for their own defense

There are so many migrants in Spain you begin to wonder where the Spanish went. You walk Las Ramblas in Barcelona and it looks like North Afrika.
ETA: I guess the tread title is technically incorrect. Since granted amnesty, they are no longer illegal. Let that be an object lesson for US policy makers.

Blame will go everywhere except their bad choices and progressivism. I imagine most of the people that have caused this have removed every mirror in their house so they don’t have to look at themselves.

I often wonder if the refusal to accept reality is based in the belief that everyone is equal or the simple hatred of the west and its standard of living.

I remember one of my economics professors in college using Spain as an example of how socialist polices can hinder an economy

Sounds like Spain’s version of the Cloward-Piven Strategy is humming right along as intended.

Silly Spaniards. Don't they know how to access our USAID funds?

“Only” 25%? Seems like 75% when I’ve been in an ER in Houston (multiple times with my elderly mother). I remember the person checking in in front of us asking if they had a dentist there (and no, there was no apparent pain, no bleeding or injury etc). The nurse said, uh no, this is an ER…

How is Spain any different than the Democrat USA.
At present, our economy is strong enough to support "Learing Centers" expensive motel rooms for illegals, USAID for Somali Terrorists, but for how long?
