Ben Stiller story seems sus. Ignore it.

I don't GET the whole 'make it go viral' thing, and I never will.
Here's what Grok said on the matter.
In short, the post matches the pattern of viral fake Hollywood “drama” stories that recycle political framing (e.g., “liberal lunatic”) without sourcing. Similar unsubstantiated claims about Vaughn refusing to work with Stiller have been debunked before as invented. Treat it as unverified satire unless primary evidence (video, reliable reporting, or statements from the people involved) appears.

At last weekend's "Hollywood Icons" convention in Las Vegas, liberal lunatic Ben Stiller was publicly humiliated when he tried to announce a new "Dodgeball" movie with Vince Vaughan.
Vaughan, who was at the same convention on a different panel, told enthusiasts that he hasn't spoken to Stiller in years.
"Ben hangs out with Seth Rogen a little bit too much," Vaughan joked. "He must have gotten high and hallucinated a version of me that would actually work with him again."
Stiller canceled his second appearance.

Is there video evidence that supports this tweet?

Oh, so now you want me to post YouTube videos?
Feel free to play Internet reporter and correct the story.

Zero chance this happened

You brought this here, I didn't. I just asked if there was video. Stop being a snarky dick and just post the video of the comments. All of a sudden you don't want to post a video?

Feel free to correct the story as posted. There's even a quote by Vince Vaughn.
Though I do commend you on not blindly taking something presented at face value.

You’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, run amok…
They didn’t even spell Vaughn right.
They did several movies together. There is no indication of bad blood between them. Fake post on X by an account called “TodayUpdates0.”
As recently as February this year they did a charity dodgeball event together.

I couldn't find that, most recent I saw was from 2017
That said Google AI says this was a fake satirical event

Turns out I’VE been bamboozled!
All the same, this fallout is nonsense.

Yeah, well, I knew before seeing a community note the fallout was fake. They misspelled Vince’s last name for God’s sake.
But I got bamboozled by AI saying they did a charity event in February this year.
Brave new world we live in. Checking facts with fictions.

Here's a thought: instead of being a dick and repeating yourself, you should post something that is verifiable. You posted it here, it's your responsibility to vet it, not mine.

More snark. Just post a video that shows what the tweet says.

Asked Grok, here's the reply.
No, Ben Stiller is not confirmed to be involved in the *Dodgeball* sequel currently in development.
Vince Vaughn is attached: A Dodgeball sequel entered early development at 20th Century Studios (Disney) around April 2023, with Vaughn set to return as Peter LaFleur (and likely produce). It is based on an idea of his, and Jordan VanDina (The Binge) was hired to write the script. The story is expected to continue after the events of the 2004 original, focusing on Vaughn’s character.
As of the most recent updates (through 2025 and into 2026), the project remains in development with no director, filming plans, or release date announced. In a May 2025 interview, Vaughn described having “an idea that’s pretty good, but nothing for sure,” while noting he is open to it if the story feels right. Co-star Alan Tudyk has said a script exists and that Vaughn likes it.
Stiller’s involvement has never been confirmed for this iteration. In 2022, Justin Long noted that Vaughn had a “great”/“funny” idea and was pitching it, but Stiller was “a little trepidatious” about sequels to beloved films (citing risks of not matching the original, informed in part by Zoolander 2). Vaughn previously expressed optimism that Stiller would be open if the idea was strong enough, but later official reports on the 2023 development specifically highlighted the lack of word on Stiller or other original cast members beyond Vaughn. No subsequent credible reports have attached Stiller as a star, producer, or otherwise.
An earlier 2013 sequel attempt also floated both actors but went nowhere. As of late 2026, the project is still listed in development focused on Vaughn’s character, with no public confirmation of Stiller’s participation.

No. Not everything HAS a video to post. Take your own advice, how about?
Here's what I know.
The feed of the story which popped up in my timeline is from some verified X account I've never seen. USA based, started in February.
In virtually every post made, it ends with 'Lets make this go viral on X! Let's go!' Which to me comes off as a try hard and reasonably suspect. '
But thank you for your attention to this matter.

Literally all you had to do was Grok it and now you are being a dick about searching it. I don’t understand you.
Posted on 10/18/26 at 8:48 am to LoveThatMoney
I said I posted the story AS IS.
I wasn't being a dick, it was you who was snarky about the whole thing.
We shouldn't have to run to Grok or any fricking AI to 'verify' a story. I'm not a reporter. Never claimed to be one.
I apologize for nothing.

Why are you still yapping at me? You posted some horseshite that was easily verifiable as horseshite. Then you got in your feelings about it when I asked for a video of the incident. Now you're backtracking the horseshite you came here promoting. I know you like to argue, but do you have to do it with everything?

Then why didn't you? I did that. You're welcome. You being a dick about all of this only makes me less likely to do your homework for you and possibly post MORE of this stuff.

You posted some fake shite on here, then got pissy about being asked to verify the fake shite you posted. Do your own homework, dude, stop being fake news.
