Utterly shameless.

quote:

In January 2025, the Trump administration cut off funding for a long-running natural hazards program that aimed to identify and monitor landslide hotspots in Nepal. While the program the administration cut would not have been able to prevent the disaster that happened this past week, it represented a first step towards making those kinds of protections possible in a future where they are going to be needed more. CLARIFICATION: This headline and story have been updated to better reflect the extent of the Project SERVIR-Hindu Kush Himalaya program. LINK

We were told we were not funding the rest of the world. How could that be?

There's literally no bottom to the crap we were apparently funding worldwide.

First of all, why is it our responsibility to pay for another sovereign country's disaster warning system? It's not like Nepal is so broke they can't pay for it. So then we have to be guilt-tripped into believing this is our fault no matter the administration; this is just the thinking that got us tranny shows in Pakistan. The progressives do not like military action but will spend the same money on gender inclusion in Afghanistan. Again, I fricking hate progressives.

How in the hell did we ever even get to a point in the first place….where it was the presumed and unquestioned moral responsibility of the American tax payer to protect the people of Nepal from potential natural disasters?

Just wait until an extinction level meteor is barreling towards earth and BSNOW reports the gravitational pull of Trump's arse is the primary cause.

This the only way to reply to this article. Enough of us funding the world when every f-ing one of those countries would love to see us displaced as the world power.

There were monitors..... the landslide/flood moved at such a rapid pace that these monitors were destroyed before they had time to signal.

Trump can't control when a mountain collapses. And if he could, why would he???

Why didn't the government of Nepal take care of its sensors and warning equipment? Did these assholes at CNN think DJT is the president of Nepal?

Nepal's total national public debt stands at 2.974 trillion Nepalese Rupees (NPR), which is approximately $19.21 billion USD. We are in debt over $40 trillion. Who should pay for Nepal's lunch?

If my tax dollars were to be spent on alert systems, that would have been the Colorado river and the Guadalupe. GFY CNN.

Ok say they’re 100% spot on.

Are we supposed to be outraged that we aren’t paying for Nepalese landslide detection?

Let's also remember that when the previous Biden regime was in power, FEMA found a way to withhold emergency disaster funds from conservative citizens that were victims of a flood in the USA.

Didn't CNN run cover for that heinous act as long as they could?.

Didn't the progressive demo-sphere also victim blame conservatives and victims / families after the river floods in TX?

Such altruistic, sympathetic people
