So, give the Bucks their swaps back in order for the Pelicans to become a nonsensical version of the Nuggets?

This makes sense to you??
Chris Paul hosts quite a few basketball camps each year. From what I can tell, it doesn’t seem like any are in New Orleans.

Does he have any business interests in the city? Does he own any property? If he does, please let me know. But, for someone who claims to have this “incredible bond” with the city and its residents, he sure does seem to have made a clean break from it.

I think you all misread Larry's tweet. He wasn't saying that Clark's article was wrong. He took issue with Clark's framing of the "criticism" as other people doing the criticizing, when Clark is almost always in the mix, if not the catalyst for said criticism. In other words, don't throw stones and hide your hands.

Clark's history of half-assed articles with surface-level information shows that he's a hack, but his article after the IST read more like a leak from the team.

As far as most access: Guillory. I'm not a big fan of BKM from a journalistic standpoint, but a couple of those guys get unique access due to relatability.
Those pictures aren’t actually on his IG
They appear to have a board of directors, so probably that.

Competitive advantage. If you believe that a Paul has nothing to gain over a divided fanbase in a playoff matchup, or that his image takes a boost, days after another nut kicking incident, moments after elbowing a guy in the mouth. The difference between Paul and Toni is Paul is expert manipulator and Toni is an introvert.

Exactly this.
What he has to gain is goodwill. If everyone generally likes you, you’ll always get the benefit of the doubt. Just look at this thread, people are rationalizing him kicking guys in the nuts as just him being ultra competitive. Lol nah baby, that’s scumbag behavior.

For all his “love” of the city, I’d genuinely like to know what ties he has to New Orleans. Any property? Businesses? Charities? And not just NBA Cares stuff when the All-Star Game comes to town.
Just search New Orleans Pelicans on the SXM app at game time and it’ll come up.
Local sports reporters have hinted that Davis and his pops are to blame for Monty's firing.
It doesn’t seem like he wanted to come back, or that the Pels wanted him back. So, the whole notion of, ‘If that’s all you were gonna get in return you might as well have brought him back,’ seems shortsighted at best.

What’s the process for picking a favorite team when there is no local team?

Exactly. Growing up I just latched on to players since we had no team: Nique, KJ, Penny, Iverson...

Literally the day Baron Davis was traded was the day I went all in on the Hornets. If this franchise were to ever leave I certainly would not follow, and I’d imagine the attitude was similar for NO Jazz fans.

What about Garrett Temple?
I must not have seen the same reporting as you, because I didn’t see anything about him being around any people or any situations that are prone to police intervention.

Instead, what I’ve seen reported is that there was an alleged human reaction (albeit a poor reaction) to some stressor that prompted police intervention.

But, please continue with your stereotypes.

What a total fricking retard.

What does “the hood” have to do with this?
The dress code was a rebuke of Hip-Hop (fashion) culture. Read into that what you want. I recall players using the opportunity to wear suits and sport coats that were 3-4 sizes too big. But, hey, if you say it was stylish...???????

The dress code has also spawned what you refer to as the “weird fashion show.”
Hobert was the best of a really bad group. At least he showed flashes of competency. His biggest issue was health.

Collins played drunk. Tolliver was very boom or bust (mostly bust). Delhomme only played one game. Wuerffel didn't have NFL tools, and Shuler is the worst starting NFL quarterback I've EVER seen.

AD will get more than double that for SJ2

I see this argument a lot. He could've (really, should've) gotten his $4M on top of whatever they give him for SJ2. Any way you slice it, he gave away $4M for nothing.

I hear you, boss, I am just trying to figure out who would be placed on KD.

I don't know that defending KD should be your benchmark. There's no one player in the league that you can just put on him. Everybody's gonna get a taste.

For a rental one season.

Lol. You can't get just fox for ad one year.

To be fair, he did say this was under a scenario where AD was locked in for 4 or 5 more years.
