re: Moving to New Zealand - MnM on 12/8/18 at 8:58 am
Haven't been to New Zealand but I did a year working holiday visa in Australia. I would highly recommend it. Don't go over there with no money though. You need to have minimum 5-10k in buffer money to allow you to enjoy your time there and not having to worry about work the whole time. As long as yo...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Helen GA - MnM on 12/2/18 at 10:19 pm
I agree, Helen is a fake German/Austrian mountain town. The surrounding areas are very nice though. Maybe hike blood mountain or if you'll be there in the summer hike down into the gorge and do sliding rock. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Any experience living abroad for an extended period of time (~2 or more years)? - MnM on 9/5/18 at 10:38 pm
Europe could be difficult to get a work visa unless you have a company already willing to move you there and sponsor you. Your best bet to do something like this is to teach English somewhere in Asia. You could also look into working holiday visas in Australia and New Zealand. I traveled and worked ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Fellow OT bachelors...bachelor pad upkeep questions - MnM on 8/31/18 at 12:51 pm
If you don't do these things on a bimonthly basis at minimum you need to start or hire a maid. My old roommate didn't do any of this and couldn't understand why he kept getting ghosted. His bedroom smelled terrible because he almost never washed his sheets. ...

re: Travel insurance recommendations - MnM on 8/30/18 at 3:44 pm
I typically buy mine off worldnomads.com. I only buy for international trips so I have medical coverage. The trip protection and insurance on lost or stolen goods is a bonus. You never know what can happen medical wise when going international. One of my friends got a lung infection when we were in ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Travel Agent - MnM on 8/27/18 at 10:56 pm
It's easy to book your own honeymoon. I've planned many trips and just recently planned my 2 country/4 city/over 17 days honeymoon. Follow the outline below and everything should work out fine for you. 1.decide budget and length of trip 2. Decide on destination/destinations based on budget and le...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
Coron/el nido, Philippines hotel recomendstions - MnM on 8/20/18 at 12:46 pm
Does anyone have recommendations on hotels in coron and el nido? Budget is $150/night or less. I've found a few in each city that look promising but wanted to know if anyone has stayed at a place they really enjoyed. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Cancun /Playa Mujeres - MnM on 6/16/18 at 7:24 am
what bad things do you think could happen to you compared to the city you live in now? You're typically less safe in the USA(everyone has guns) compared to any resort city in the world. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: How long should you stay in cities while backpacking? - MnM on 6/5/18 at 12:46 pm
I agree with hungryone, if you don't know then keep your schedule as flexible as possible so you can stay as long or short in each city. When I back packed for a year some cities I stayed for a day or two and others I stayed a week or two. It really just depends on the city or the people you meet th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Isla Mujeres - security situation? - MnM on 5/20/18 at 1:14 pm
I would consider New Orleans much more dangerous than isla mujeres or any other tourist spot in Mexico. Anyone that tells you something different doesn't know what they're talking about. Look into staying at casa sirena on isla mujeres. Probably one of my favorite places I've ever stayed in all ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Heading to Peru in July for 10 days - MnM on 5/15/18 at 7:49 pm
Teddy is right, booking MP tickets is difficult because it's all in Spanish. Make sure you google the instructions. Ours messed up and we had to go through a whole ordeal in augas calientes to get t fixed. If you haven't booked the tickets yet you need to asap. For 10 days just hit cusco, olyantambo...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: My (Shortened) Trip Review: Cambodia and Southern Laos (pic heavy) - MnM on 2/25/18 at 11:15 pm
Great pics! Looks like it was a successful trip. Makes me want to go back to se Asia again. You didn't happen to meet an American named Brian that was wearing a Georgia shirt while you were there?...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
