To Kill A Mockingbird……

I am once again reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. I am reminded of the life lesson lessons it conveys to young people.

One of my all time favorites. Still can't bring myself to read Go Set a Watchman though. Don't want the story to change in my mind.

Also the same.
It was initially published as though it were a sequel. It is, in fact, the initial draft of what ended up as To Kill a Mockingbird. From what I understand, her publisher advised her to rewrite the story from the perspective of young Scout rather than the older Scout.

part of it for me too is that Harper Lee never wanted it published. Shewas pretty adamant over the years that TKAM was the only story. From everything I read back when it came out was basically her money hungry family convinced her on her death bed when she didn't know what was going on to sign the rights to release it. If I recall I think they found the notes on it she had stored away in a safety deposit box.
