Why do we allow Texas A&M’s band to perform on our field every year?

Every time they visit, they perform their stupid march on our field at halftime and play Yankee Doodle. No issue with the occasional visiting band performance but why the aggies every time? I hate them.

I don’t remember ever seeing an opposing team’s band take the field when I was a student in the late 2000s and I went to every hole game for 5 seasons.

They are also a military based unit. LSU was once a military based school also in the beginning so there is a respect there.

There used to be mutual respect there but now no more.
A&M has repeatedly played during our alma mater.
Their stupid line march hasn't changed in forever. Any band trained on that could do it. Its nothing special.
They ran over their time. Again.

Their music sucks, but they are good at marching last time I saw them a few years ago.
But it sounds like they are not returning the respect we have given them so let's not allow it anymore.

It only happens when the away team brings their full band, not their pep band. I remember seeing Bama's band perform in the early 90s when I first started going to games.

If a visiting team brings the entire band, the home team typically allows them to perform at halftime. Now I do remember 1year lsu didn’t allow visiting bands to perform.

Because they are amazing and a real treat to see perform. Look, if you can't respect your opponent, then what good is the win against them?
If TAM is not a valued and appreciated win, then what's the fricking point of playing them at all? That goes for their band, etc.

It’s pretty much understood that if you bring your whole band you’ll get to perform. It’s expensive to bring the whole band and it really isn’t worth it if you can’t perform at halftime
About 10 or so years ago LSU tried to stop opposing teams bands from performing with some bs excuse about safety and got a ton of push back from it so they backtracked really fast on that

It used to be part of the pageantry of a college football game. Each school’s band would perform at halftime. The thought that we have now resorted to booing the opposing team’s band is unfortunate.
