They need to figure out the student section capacity and a way for student that didn't get tickets to be able to purchase by game.

Tickets for students sold out within 4 minutes online. But they made it where tickets can't be transferred or sold. Thousands of tickets go unused every Saturday

Thousands of student tickets do NOT go unused every Saturday. In our first three home games, at end of the 1Q, student section was packed.

Student section was an embarrassment Saturday night. Weak and pathetic showing.

Why did they make it to where student tickets can’t be transferred or sold?

First game, where they didn’t show up. I expect it to be full for the remaining games. I would trade their prices for
Mine any day

If the student who has a ticket does not show up to scan their ticket, revoke it for the rest of the year. I was there for the Curley years and we stayed the whole game. These kids now just want to chant their idiotic chant, take a selfie and leave. That's if they show up.

We played a high school team.

They’re going to show big for the remainder of SEC play

No. No we did not. And if you had a date she would’ve left with everyone else before halftime

Student Section at A&M game was packed an hour before kick-off. Go make something else up to bitch about.
And honestly if people paid for their tickets, they can do whatever they want with them.

Because it was becoming a for-profit situation. Many students that never went to games or planned on going to games would buy the tickets and sell them for $100-$200 apiece to the students that couldn’t get tickets.

I get that they don’t want to let students transfer or sell for profit. I disagree, but I at least understand the argument.

It seems like it would be easy enough to set up a website that would allow a student with a ticket to list it for face value only and then allow another student to buy it and then the original student would be refunded. Since it’s general admission and all the same price, do something like when you list it your ticket is at the back of the line and the first ticket sold is the first one purchased.

Non-Transferable Student Tickets

All student football tickets will be non-transferable. Use of each ticket is limited to the student who purchased the season ticket package. The transfer, sale, or use of a ticket by any individual other than the original purchaser is prohibited.

Student Ticket Returns & Refunds

Students who are unable to attend a home game may return their ticket during a designated return window each game week. Upon successful return, a refund equal to the face value
of that game will be issued.

Returned Ticket Purchasing Process

Returned tickets will be made available for purchase to eligible students who do not currently hold a student season football ticket. Allocation priority will be determined in accordance with the student priority point ranking system.

So be it, two of the worst home games on the schedule. Life doesn’t revolve around football for a bunch of 18-22 year olds.
