Tulane says hello. Consistent top 12ish playoff contender recently with virtually no backing like LSU. You guys are dumb. It can and will be done if we have to.

Posting the dumbest thing in the history of this board is a major accomplishment, and you deserve the honor with this.

You want LSU football to turn into Tulane?
That sucks.
That sucks.

No idiot. The obvious inference if you know what that even is... was that if Tulane can be like that, obviously lsu can be way better.

Tulane has had about 4 good seasons in the last 90 years. Anybody suggesting anything relating to athletics be modeled after Tulane is an idiot.

How'd Tulane do in those playoff games? Tulane will never be a CFP contender. Winning the G6 bid is the biggest accomplishment they'll ever achieve.
LSU is about WINNING championships.. Losing SEC revenue will hurt; not being in the SEC will hurt recruiting. LSU will not maintain an elite program as an independent. There's a reason only one school has been able to pull that off.

Im not. Im saying we all know they aren't on lsus level and yet have been able to compete with the bigs a little. Obviously lsu has way higher upside dumbasses lol. That's the point im making idiots

LSU cannot make it financially as an Independent.
IF we were to leave, our only option is the BIg10 and it is less than 50-50 they would take us.

And they lost their head coach to Florida.
What point are you trying to prove? You want to lose 41-10 in the playoffs to Ole Miss?

Since you asked…
Put down the crack pipe. Comparing Tulane to LSU in football is like comparing a local go-kart track to Formula 1 and acting like the lap times are the same.
Let's dismantle this absolute clown show of a take:
“Consistent Top 12ish Contender”: My guy, Tulane had a couple of decent years in the AAC against absolute nobodies while playing a schedule softer than baby’s shite. The second they step up in weight class, they get fed through a chipper. They aren't a “contender”; they are a trendy flash-in-the-pan that caught lightning in a bottle before Willie Fritz packed his bags and left for Houston.
“Virtually No Backing”: Tulane operates out of Yulman Stadium in front of 15,000 people—half of whom are visiting fans or local kids getting in free with a box of popcorn. LSU is a multi-million-dollar athletic behemoth driving the state economy with a national brand, a 100,000 plus seat fortress, and SEC-level resources. Comparing Tulane’s funding to ours is like comparing a lemonade stand to Goldman Sachs.
The “It Can Be Done” Delusion: You think you can just snap your fingers and replicate the SEC meat grinder in a private school bubble? Tulane’s historical ceiling is an afterthought in a hollowed-out conference. When LSU has a “down” year, we're still recruiting top-10 classes and playing in prime-time slots. When Tulane has a down year, nobody outside of Uptown New Orleans even remembers they have a football team.
You asked for facts. Here’s the only fact that matters: Tulane is a stepping-stone mid-major, and LSU is football royalty.

Weak argument. But I will say, Sankey fricked up the SEC's current TV deal. He sounds like a piss poor negotiator. The B1G has lapped us. 7 billion vs. 3 billion, even though the SEC has a better viewership draw. Ohio State is the exception; the Bucks consistently draw great ratings.
I eventually see another antitrust suit similar to the '80s, but. Still, this will be Big-power blue bloods negotiating directly for better TV rights and a bigger share of the royalties vs. 100% collegiate conferences. LSU, Bama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee generate the lion's share of the TV ratings. Those schools should be paid a better royalty %.

As the Offspring of Tulane and Newcombe Alums, it was quite possibly the most stupid economic move ever perpetrated by a University..The idiots that ran Tulane at the time had delusions of being an Ivy equivalent and major college football was an expensive afterthought. They never recovered
