But I think the game was lost when backer ran that bull shite follow the leader formation and they convert a 3rd and 8 on a simple run play. I think if we stop them there we get the ball back and score with 6 minutes left in the game. To think that would work against Sloan who has seen him do that before was ridiculous.

I thought that happened on Kentucky's last series in regulation? Regardless that was a ridiculous formation.

The I formation defense is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen beyond pee wee league football.

Two ends went for the qb. If one goes for rb we stop them for a loss. Stop looking at results only. The play worked. We had an edge rusher unblocked and a safety with a chance to make the play.

You’re talking about the drive where they went down and missed a FG?

No the game was over if we get the 4th & 1

If you watch the game back we gave it away like 4 times.

I firmly believe we were the better team that night and are the supremely better team now.

It works if they call the blatant hold on Geralds.

Refs decided that they weren't calling holds that game.

That was one of Kiffins worst coached games. I remember at one point it was 4th and 2, and we were going to go for it. We burned a time out, then came out to go for it again and still weren’t prepared.

The game wasn’t just on Baker

I'm pretty sure that was when Harper didn't know he was supposed to be in the game.....coming out of a timeout. Inexcusable.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

That’s fair if that were his job. Obviously you would expect an athletes to use their instincts and go for the ball. But we don’t know if his assignment was to blow up the qb on that play. But even if it wasn’t if we don’t run that exotic formation we still have someone there to clean up that mistake most likely.

Get real man 2 of those were missed field goals and then 2 straight scoring drives. Defense was atrocious that game. Kiffin shares blame as well. But scoring 30 plus should be enough for that game.

Did you not read my entire post? If we stop them there we have a ton of momentum and can run out the clock and score. But after that Kentuckys offense got in a rhythm and drove down the field on us every drive they had after that.

True but they also found their rhythm offensively after that. And momentum offensively. If we stop them there I think we take all the air out of the stadium and put the game away. We will never know.
