Whistler Village Lodging Questions

For Whistler, any advice on staying in the main Village Centre versus the Upper Village, which is off to the left on the map? I see there is a walking trail that takes you from the Upper Village to the Village Centre. Wondering if one is better than the other to stay in. If its too long a walk from Upper Village to Centre Village? Family of four, so will go eat out but not at the bars all night.

Have stayed in both during the summer. The Upper Village is totally walkable from the main village center. Probably 10-15 mins, but a nice hill at the end to get back up to Blackcomb.
I'd prefer staying in the Main Village given the option, but if the price is better in Upper Village, it's totally manageable.
