Play begins tomorrow. Not sure I love extending the first round to three days, but it's another couple of sessions of revenue for the event and more coverage is always better.
Sinner is out and Alcaraz is playing, when many people thought it would be the opposite. It seems as wide open in both singles events as it has in a long time. It's a golden opportunity for the American men. Check in here if you head to Flushing Meadows. All coverage should be on ESPN, ESPN 2, or ABC.
Men's Draw.

What up, Peej?
Sinner tweaked his knee or something and has inflammation. It's wild because Alcaraz sat out the last two majors with wrist issues and it looked like his year and maybe career could be done. Sinner dominated Wimbledon and all of a sudden he is out.

Bump for opening day. I could see Medvedev crash out this afternoon. Shelton has a tough first round match tomorrow against Griekspoor.

I think this makes every major now that’s starting on a Sunday and extending the first round over 3 days. Makes it easier to watch more matches with them spread out.

Novak might tap out tonight.

Teams wearing all the same outfits and hats with weird slogans is pretty gay. How can we get rid of this

Venus might go on court at 12 am local time. Sheesh.

I don't understand why they don't put the women's match out first during the night sessions.

Joker looks like warmed over hell, puking his guts out.

He's struggling with this tomato can. I don't think he's long for New York.

Tough scene for Djokovic tonight.

He looked in real pain those last couple sets.

I was there. It was tough to watch. He definitely had lower back issue. Trainer came out a couple of times. Venus and Kenin started after midnight.

Losing to a challengers level player who plays 90%+ of the time on clay feels like it may be the end.
