re: GMC Sierra vs Denali

I believe both of these are now offered in a sierra SLT. I know remote start is, and think I seen somewhere you can get wifi in a certain upgraded package for the SLE/SLT

no, but hunting over freshly flooded grass is legal

If you can get permission to hunt some fields that re flooded from the river, you can kill some ducks.

If you plan on lifting it or putting a leveling kit on it, go the sierra route. Once you lift it, you'll lose the magnetic ride the denali offers. Unless you absolutely want the 6.2L engine, I think a sierra SLT is the better route to go.

Operation of a tiller handle, regardless of boat size requires the operator to wear a life jacket and have a kill switch connected to them and the motor.
Sounds like it's time for his dad to get a boat for his birthday.

Sounds like someone just got lucky for the 1st time in 10 years. Congrats, it took you 10 years to find a wood duck roost. #Duckcommander

There is way too much water in north Louisiana

Spent 10 days in NELA hunting public land. There's not as many birds as there has been in the past. Mix that with water, and it allows the 3 ducks up there to spread out.

Why do so many people do this with deer meat? I can understand doing this with duck or something with a gamey flavor.

This my favorite place to duck hunt. Just gotta have a fast boat with an escape route
Anyone wanna buy my Basspro gift cards?

By all means, just give up. Need less hunters and pressure anyways.

Yes it's a tough season. Am I hanging it up early? No. I'll be out there grinding away for a few birds while the others give up early and try to enjoy the lack of other hunters in the woods.

Do they clip their wings to prevent them from flying away?

re: Opinion on Expensive Waders

The best pair of waders I've ever bought were the Cabela's branded Instinct uninsulated waders. Sadly they don't make them anymore. I'm going on season #4 with them and haven't had any issues. I prefer the non-insulated because you can layer underneath if needed, but also very light and don't wear you out making long walks on public land.
