His ineptitude to produce even a somewhat competent defense in 23 really did cost us a chance at a title run. Not just a good/great season. But an actual title run.

That offense could score at will and all he had to do was make a couple stops a game.

Matt House wasnt the problem. He took 29 scholarship players to a top 30 defense, something that took Baker 3 years to do.

House was hamstrung by the fricking awful talent that was on the defense, and considering NONE of those players have amounted to anything in the NFL, goes to show how good of a DC he actually was.

So Omar Speight starting for the rams means nothing? Savion Jones was a third round pick. Masson Smith was a second rounder. Jordan Jefferson got drafted in the 5th. Mekhi Wingo in the 6th (is in the lions DT rotation)

It wasn’t our most talented, but they had more talent than being the worst LSU defense to come through this program

To think an SEC school put out a secondary made up of Sage Ryan, Major Burns, Laterrance Welch, Duce Chestnut, Javien Toviano, Jardin Gilbert, Denver Harris, Ashton Stamps, and Raydar Jones is laughable. Worst group I've seen at LSU up there with Mainieri's last HS pitching class

Still have nightmares watching Duce chestnut attempting to man up on Keon Coleman.

Talk about shite that doesnt make sense based off his time at LSU. Not hating on him but every game he looked slow, out of position, and over mattched.

It literally was statistically almost the worst defense in the NCAA. Not up to LSU standards. House was the leader, he is accountable.

Did you not read what I wrote. ONE of those guys have amounted to any significance in the NFL.

Bud, you were arguing that the talent level was the reason Matt House sucked arse here.

I agree it wasn’t our most talented. But Matt house was god fricking awful in ‘24.

The Matt House effect my friend

Speight was a good player at Oregon State. I really don’t get how House screwed him up so bad
