The best private course you’re gonna get for under 2K in that area is Brookhaven. If you wanna go to semi-private route there is Bridlewood and Tour 18 in Flower Mound but that’s a little bit of a drive for you. Hackberry might be an option as well, I’m not quite sure how much it costs to be honest.

As far as public courses, there are so many in Dallas I can’t really list them all here for you. Do 30 minutes of googling and you will find a dozen in your area. Bear Creek is by the airport and always in decent shape.

Yea when I googled last week there were a ton of options. Anything is an upgrade from BR.
Can possibly go to 3k/mo but that would be stretching the budget as we are saving for a house in the area and would like to put as much down as possible.

If you are in Lake Highlands, I don’t think there’s anything in your area in your price range. Only clubs that are close are Royal Oaks and Lake Highlands CC. Maybe DAC. If you could afford those on your budget, you probably would be on a waitlist for years anyway.

Some Invited clubs (formerly Club Corp) are in your budget, but they’re probably 45 minutes or more away with traffic. Hackberry Creek for example.

Clubs here are crazy expensive. Canyon Creek, which is a fine course, but does have a good club house, tennis facility, and membership is $50k initiation and $1k a month…. For a decent course.

And they’re all full, it’s insane. Just spend $600 a month on nice public facilities, imo. Texas Rangers, Grapevine Muni, Waterchase are all good courses. Sherrill Park, some of the Firewheel course, Pecan Hollow, and more are all serviceable and like $65 to play.

The only clubs you can afford are far away. Shady valley, walnut creek, el Dorado etc. Im sure there are more but those are arlington, mansfield and mckinney. The ones in that are are lakewood country club, royal oaks, prestonwood and Dallas country club. They are going to be insanely expensive. Just play the public courses. Its surprising but there are 2 courses right in lakewood that are city of Dallas courses that aren't that bad. Tennison park and there is another one there i can't remember the name of that used to be decent. Stevens park is pretty nice. Watters creek and heritage ranch are both accessible. If you feel like traveling a bit azle has a really nice course for the money called timber ridge or timber creek.... something like that. Texas rangers and cowboys are both nice as well. There are a ton of options here.

If you don't mind driving a bit Woodbridge is 14 miles, this is our home course.

For $75.00 a month you get unlimited range balls (really nice range, putting green and chipping area) discounted rates, $18.00 after 2:00 pm daily, $11.00 after 6:00 pm and free after 7:00 pm.

Man that’s nuts!

I appreciate all the feedback and information. Will do some looking around once we get settled and it cools down. Dallas is HOT!

We signed a year lease on the apartment. Will likely be here another 5-7 years but after that will probably move to FL for retirement.
